Season One of Grown Up Dad Is Ready for the World

After nearly three years of filming, conversations, and careful editing, we’re thrilled to announce that Grown Up Dad Season One is officially wrapped.

What started as a hopeful idea — that today’s dads deserve stories that reflect both their real struggles and their incredible potential — has now blossomed into a five-episode documentary series airing on PBS stations this June.

Each episode tackles a different dimension of modern fatherhood:

Episode 1: “The Changing Role of Fatherhood”
Examines the evolving expectations placed on dads today — balancing breadwinning, caregiving, emotional support, and modeling a new generation of partnership.

Episode 2: “The Screen Time Dilemma”
Explores how today’s fathers are navigating technology with their kids — from teaching digital responsibility to building healthy online habits in a world that never shuts off.

Episode 3: “Reclaiming Masculinity”
A look at how fathers are redefining strength, courage, and leadership — stepping away from outdated stereotypes and embracing a richer, healthier vision of what it means to be a man.

Episode 4: “Lost Men: Friendship & Loneliness”
Unpacks the silent epidemic of male loneliness and explores how deeper friendships and intentional community are essential for fathers to thrive.

Episode 5: “Parenting Through Misinformation”
Dads are on the frontlines of helping kids think critically and compassionately in an age where misinformation spreads faster than truth — and the stakes couldn’t be higher.

We’re also honored to share that our early work is already receiving recognition:

This week, we presented an episode in-person at the Daddying Film Festival and were awarded the 2025 Atticus Award for Best Documentary Short.

Adding to the excitement, Grown Up Dad was featured this week by WHYY, Philadelphia’s flagship public media station.

Their article dives into the heart of what the series aims to do: inspire fathers, empower families, and bring a fresh, honest look at what it really means to raise the next generation.

As we turn the corner into the launch phase, the anticipation is building.

We can’t wait to share Grown Up Dad with the world this June — and more importantly, to invite dads, families, and communities into the conversation we’ve been so passionate about from the beginning.

Stay tuned for the broadcast dates, community screenings, and more ways to get involved.

We’re just getting started.
